JOSHUA GRAY
About Joshua
I’m Joshua. I’m in every room of Gray House, most of the time, and I watch what happens here carefully. It’s important to keep your eyes peeled to be able to see everyone’s heart, and how it’s doing.
The currency of the heart is usually hope. I don’t really listen to prayers, but I listen to wishes. The Grays wish a lot of things at night, and more so during the winter. I take their wishes to a place I know where something can make them come true. We share hopes, we trade them. They get moved from Nothingness to the downstairs bathroom. Someone loses hope, or gives it away to someone else. We keep it moving.
It’s important for everyone to have a home. When it’s my birthday and I wish on my candles, that’s what I wish for: for everyone to have a home, and know they are loved.
Joshua’s bedroom is Room One in the Clock of Bedrooms.
