Adam to Jack: Hello, Again

To Whom It May Concern,

Welcome to Gray House. My name is Adam Edison Jones. I trust your room is comfortable. If not, feel free to ask me for anything you may need to increase the quality of your quarters.

As our resident scientist and doctor, I will require some samples of your biology. Don’t worry yourself, I will collect them on my own time. Should you experience any physical upset due to your transition to the estate, I’ll thank you to report them to me in a timely manner. In the meantime, I’ll need your medical history, in brief, if you would. Answer and return, please.

What was your approximate age at the time of your first heartbreak, and what external stimuli now forces your senses to recall said event?

Do you react to unfamiliar social situations more like your mother or your father, and do you consider these behaviors a blessing or a curse?

Have any of the wishes you’ve made ever come true, and if so, please explain the circumstances at length, including dates, locations, persons, and emotional consequences involved.

My room, as you can see, is a haven for my interests. You’re welcome to appoint yours in a similar fashion. A good rule of thumb, when seeking permission to do anything in this house, is to assume that the answer is yes and apologize later.

Thank you for your time,

Adam, Room Three
