Issue One is Coming, Here’s What You Need to Know

          Some stories move forward, some backward, some sideways—but in Gray House, the story moves allways.

          The release of Gray House: Issue One - The Disappearing Boy is just a couple of months away. As the journey begins into the deepest recesses of the Gray multiverse, here are some things you need to know:

          The Disappearing Boy opens across five distinct corners of the multiverse: 1980s suburbia lit by television static and buried secrets; a lush Southern Gothic landscape entangled in murder and opulence; a mysterious school library where science blurs into romance; a haunted basement pulsing at the multiverse’s core; and, finally, the Garden of Eden itself. The disorientation is immediate, but the Gray Family is a constant. We’re there in every world, playing different roles. We’ve learned that tangles in timespace are made for untangling, and that’s what we do together. 

          The Gray House Series, comprising fifty-five interconnected stories, is better titled The Gray House Spiral, since we tell each story simultaneously. Living in the multiverse makes the Gray Family’s experiences run parallel and double back on each other, mixing past lives, time travel, and dimension shifts. How do you tell a story that keeps glitching into another timeline, deepening its own context forever? The documentation of our lives demanded that each chapter we wrote in one story be added to a chapter in the next, forming a Fibonacci-style sequence of events. It’s the only way we can tell the whole story.

          Each issue of the Gray House Spiral will be released 3 to 6 months apart, unfolding at novel length. Some of our stories will seem resolved, and others will stop mid-sentence, not to be resumed until another turn of the Spiral has been completed. Sometimes, moving on from one universe to the next is our intention. But most often, the Spiral turns without our permission, ripping the microphone away from one Gray and pinning the spotlight on another. But just as there is no end or beginning of anything, so the Gray Family goes on in all directions. Every universe, tale, and Gray will return in a subsequent issue. So, let these future ghosts haunt you, and rest assured, we will eventually solve every equation.
